Overgiving is something that women are culturally trained to do. It is so deeply ingrained in us that we often don’t know we’re doing it. It’s true that we are natural nurturers, but when we habitually sacrifice our own needs for those of others, we become physically, emotionally, and spiritually depleted.

Many predators don’t look like the sinister types portrayed in the movies. They can actually appear benevolent at the outset and can show up in every profession, race, and religion. Some of them are exceptionally deceptive because they hide behind the veneer of being a spiritual teachers or healers. I call them the “new age wolves in sheep’s clothing.”

When you are dealing with challenges in your relationships, whether they be large or small, it’s important to remember that heaven is on your side.

It amazes me that in our educational system, we aren’t taught how to have healthy relationships. In my opinion, that’s why so many relationships fail. Partners lack the skills that are necessary to work though the challenges that arise.

Do you have a circle of women in your life who are 100% committed to your empowerment? Can you count on them to tell you the truth, have your back, and give you the nurturing feminine energy you need? I have found that this has been essential on my goddess journey.

Good relationships require work. It’s a myth that they just blossom by themselves. Relationships are designed to push our buttons, and we must remember that after the blissful ”honeymoon” period is over, the REAL relationship begins. Most people head for the hills the moment they hit a rough bump in the road.
